Gregory Alan Schon

T/Sgt. Gregory "Bum" Schon, USAF Retired, 50, of Biloxi, MS, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 in Ocean Springs. T/Sgt. Schon had been a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast. He was an U. S. Air Force Veteran of the Gulf War. After his retirement from the military he was employed as manager of Gaude' Lanes at Keesler Air Force Base. He also worked at Triangle Lanes for a total of 18 years. He was an avid bowler and a Cleveland Indians enthusiast. A great fan of the Mississippi Sea Wolves, he held season tickets. He was a member of the Hall of Fame and United States Bowling Congress. T'Sgt. Schon was preceded in death by his father, James R. Schon, and grandparents, Michael L. and Minnie Schon, and John and Klemintina Krafcik. Survivors include his wife, Debra Schon of Biloxi; two sons, Jason Schon and his wife, Katrina, of Tucson, AZ, and Daniel Schon of Biloxi; his mother, Margaret D. Schon of Lorain, Oh; sister, Michele Lane and her husband, Ken, of Mt. Vernon, OH; two brothers, James Schon and his wife, Jane, of Lorain, OH, and Mike Schon and his wife, Cris, of Amherst, OH; and a granddaughter, Ariana Lynn Schon, of Tucson, AZ. Visitation is Tuesday, March 25, 2008, from 1 until 3 p.m. and again from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Ave., in Biloxi. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Lighthouse Baptist Church at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 7224 Gorenflo Road, Biloxi, MS 39532
