Gregory Mato Anticich

Gregory Mato Anticich, Jr., age 58, died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at home in Gulfport. He was born June 15, 1951 in Biloxi and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. His family and friends will greatly miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grego M. Anticich, Sr. and Noel D. Anticich. Greg was a finish carpenter and was known as "The Formica Man". He had a great passion for the water, especially boating and fishing. Greg loved family get-togethers and was always concerned for those in need. Survivors include two nieces, Marygregg Manuel of Houston, TX and Susan Cangemi of Milton, FL; an aunt, Rita Bertucci Salloum and an uncle, Joseph N. "Bert" Bertucci, both of Gulfport. Greg is also survived by many loving cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 25th at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport where friends may visit one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will be in Biloxi Cemetery on Irish Hill Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. Vincent de Paul Society, C/O St. John the Evangelist Church, 2414 17th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501.
