Mr. Gus Claude Cavalier, Jr., 72, of Biloxi, MS, died Friday, June 17, 2005, in Biloxi.
Mr. Cavalier was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and retired from Civil Service at Keesler Air Force Base where he was employed in air conditioning and refrigeration. Mr. Cavalier was a life member of V.F.W.Post 2434 in Biloxi. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gus Cavalier, Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Frances Labetich Cavalier of Biloxi; two sons, Joel Cavalier and his wife, Laurie Lees, of Biloxi and Daniel Cavalier of Deerfield Beach, FL; his mother, Inez Borries Cavalier of Biloxi; two sisters, Barbara Cavalier and Bernadette O'Grady and her husband, Thomas, all of Biloxi; two brothers, Wendell Cavalier and his wife, Julia, of Pensacola, FL and Elwood Cavalier of Biloxi; four grandchildren, Shelby and Grant Cavalier of Southwest Ranches, FL, Jesse Kittrell and Michael Graham, both of Biloxi; six nephews, Baron, Kevin and Sean O'Grady of St. Martin and Drew and Brandon Cavalier of Pensacola, FL and Wendell Cavalier of Biloxi; Two nieces, Karyn Dew of Hattiesburg and Paige Cavalier of Pensacola, FL.
Visitation is Sunday, June 19, 2005, from 5:30 till 8 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. There will be a Rosary at 7:00p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:30 p.m. Monday at St. Michaels Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
