Mr. Rumple, 76, of Gulfport, MS died Saturday, April 16, 2005, in Gulfport.
Mr. Rumple, a native of Statesville, North Carolina, had been a resident of the coast since 1967. He was a retired U. S. Air Force Master Sergeant and served during WW II, the Korean War and Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force he was employed with Reichold Chemicles until his retirement in 1983.
Mr. Rumple was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Mott Rumple and Julia Mae Sherrill; a sister, Peggy Cowan and his brother, Bobby Rumple.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Rumple of Gulfport: Five sons Robert V. Rumple of Gulfport; Charles E. Rumple of Biloxi; Guy A. Rumple, Jr. and his wife Sheryl, of Houston, TX; Randy W. Rumple and his wife, Valeria, of Colorado Springs, CO and James D. Rumple and his wife, Teresa, of San Antonio, TX; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport, where friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. till service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
