Harry T. Lyons

Mr. Harry T. Lyons Jr., 80, of Biloxi, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005 in Biloxi. Mr. Lyons was a lifelong resident of Biloxi. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from the US Coast Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer with 22 years of service. He also retired from Memorial Hospital in Gulfport as Director of Engineering. Mr. Lyons was preceded in death by his parents, Harry T. and Mamie Extine Lyons; and a brother, George A. Lyons. Mr. Lyons is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sheila Staehling Lyons; a sister, Louise Blanton; a brother, Raymond H. Lyons and his wife Jackie; a sister-in-law, Betty Staehling; 22 nieces and nephews; 23 great-nieces and nephews; and 16 great-great-nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday, November 7, 2005 at 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Friends may visit one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery. The family prefers memorials be made to St. Vincent De Paul, c/o Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 314 Jim Money Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.
