Hayward Wayne Eichelberger

Mr. Hayward W. "Ike" Eichelberger, age 74, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Tuesday, December 16, 2008, in Biloxi, MS. Mr. Eichelberger was a resident of the coast for 31 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Windsor Park. He was a Retired M/Sgt. from the US Air Force, a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War, and was a Quality Assurance inspector for NASA until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Helen Eichelberger, three daughters, Joanie Patterson, Linda Smith and Judy Hawkins, a son, Jerry Eichelberger, a brother, Herbert Lee Eichelberger, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 18, 2008, from 6-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, December 19, 2008, there will be an 11 AM church service at the First Baptist Church of Windsor Park, where friends may visit from 10 AM - 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
