Helen Elizabeth Goff, age 100, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 6pm at her house, surrounded by her family.
Helen was a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ. She served as a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir with her sisters in the McLaurin Baptist Church. Helen loved her family and found joy throughout her 100 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Myrtle Grantham, daughter, Baby Girl Angel, siblings, Henry (Victoria) Grantham, Bobby (Tom) Candaleri, Eloise (C.W.) Johnson, Bonnie (Frank) Lofton, Grace Grantham, Deannie (William) Poynter, Nell (Rich) Richister and Clyde (Kitty) Grantham.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Goff, Charles (Alice) Goff, Thomas (Susan) Goff, Cheryl Goff Lukens and Stan Goff.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 31, from 9am until 11am, with an 11am chapel service, all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Seymour Cemetery/St. Martin.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, Mississippi Chapter, 1900 Dunbarton Dr., Suite H, Jackson, MS 39216.
Helen Elizabeth Goff will be remembered as an amazing mother and grandmother who enjoyed life to the fullest. She set a Christian example for all of her 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
