Helen Savarese Graves

Helen Savarese Graves, age 86, died Monday, July 16, 2018 in Gulfport. She was born in Gulfport where she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Gulfport. She was a homemaker and former employee of the Milk of Magnesia Plant in Gulfport. Mrs. Graves was preceded in death by her husband, Hollie “Buddy” Graves; her parents; and eleven siblings. She is survived by two daughters, Susie Bullock of Gulfport and Beverly Martin Burkholder (Bernie) of Biloxi; a son, Jimmy Graves (Terri) of Columbus, MS; six grandchildren, Zak Martin, April Bullock Burgess (Jeff), Monica Bair, Joshua Bullock (Jamie), Bayleigh Graves and Erin Graves; four great-grandchildren, Ragan Lizana, Gavin Lizana, Ethan Burgess and Seven Bair; and two great-great-grandchildren, Presley Downs and Blake Downs. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ione Savarese; a step-son, Hollie “Dwayne” Graves and his children and grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport. The family requests memorials to New Hope Baptist church, 17430 Landon Road, Gulfport, MS 39503 or to one’s favorite charity.
