Helen Bauman Guice, died Saturday, January 20, 2007 in Ocean Springs.
She was born on January 12, 1932 and attended the Ocean Springs school system. She opened and ran a phone answering service, worked for 7-11 stores as a manager and the Mississippi State Highway department as the Pascagoula, Ocean Springs, Biloxi and Fort Bayou Bridge Tender, from which she retired in 1997.
Mrs. Guice was preceded in death by her parents, George and Katie Cox Bauman, brother, George Gene Bauman and son, David Patrick Guice.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar P. Guice; her children, Victoria Lienhardt, John Guice, Jeannie Lowery, Perry Guice, Kimberly Lowery, Timothy Guice, Keith Guice and Carron Hall; twenty one grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.
She loved reading, crocheting, small graceful animals such as birds, squirrels, turtles and her pets. We will always remember her story telling and helping children to learn how to swim at the YMCA. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Evergreen Cemetery.
