Helen Patricia McQueen Choat, 82, of Saucier, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022.
Mrs. Choat, “Patsy,” was a lifelong resident of the White Plains Community. She spent her childhood days enjoying life on the farm while learning the value and importance of hard work and family ties. She attended and graduated from Woolmarket School and began work in the Banking Industry where she honed her skills in finance and eventually, management. She became a project manager for Cantu Services Inc. and was well respected in the Food Service industry, especially at Keesler AFB. She spent much of her time ensuring her three sons, Kevin, Greg, and Mitchell were raised in a loving and structured environment. She retired to her home in Saucier, MS where she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She particularly enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow in to a productive and devoted family unit. She was known for her stunning and delicious meals during family gatherings. Her inquisitive nature kept her busy learning of all the activities surrounding her everyday life. She could always be counted on for the latest stats with her keen knowledge of professional tennis and ice staking. All of those who knew Patsy would agree she had a larger-than-life personality along with a spitfire attitude. She will be truly missed by all.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Kevin Choat; and her parents, Clinton and Helen McQueen.
Survivors include her loving children Kevin (Denise) Wilson, Gregory (Sherry) Wilson, and Mitchell (Susan) Wilson; grandchildren, Bryce, Amber, Leslie (Ronnie Jr.), Daniel and Chad (Paige) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Heidi, Piper, Kinsley, and Lilly; brother Larry (Anita) McQueen; and only niece, Jennifer (Van) McQueen Williams.
A service will be held at the Howard Avenue location of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6 PM with a visitation form 5 PM- 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Make-A-Wish Foundation. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Helen Patricia McQueen Choat.
