Helen Ramon Saunders

Helen Ramon Saunders "Happy Helen", 79, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024. Helen was born June 19, 1945 in Biloxi, MS to John Ramon III and Adeline Leviens Ramon.

Helen was the heart of her family, and a proud Biloxi native. She attended school in Biloxi until the 10th grade. Later, after marrying her husband, Noah Saunders Sr., she accompanied him in operating Saunders Machine Shop for many years. She was lovingly devoted to raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen loved going to local islands with her family. She also enjoyed cooking for all holidays; and in her free time, she often got together with her close friends to play at the casinos.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Noah Saunders Sr.; parents, John Joseph Ramon III and Adeline Ramon.; son, Noah Saunders Jr.; 2 sisters; and 4 brothers.

Survivors include her children, Angela (Brett) Saunders Desporte, Glen (Lucy) Saunders, Troy (Loretta) Saunders, and Donald Saunders; 9 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
