Helene Ann Hiryak Lis

Helene Hiryak Lis, 50, of Ocean Springs, passed away on June 11, 2006 in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Lis was awarded Claims Officer of the Year in 1997 for the Paralyzed Veterans of America. She was preceded in death by her husband of 14 years, Walter Lis, and her father, John Hiryak. Survivors include a daughter, Erika Lis of Ocean Springs; a son, Joshua Peterson of Ocean Springs; two sisters, Rosemarie Imtanios of Keansburg, NJ and Linda Hiryak of St. Petersburg, FL; two brothers, John Hiryak of St. Petersburg, FL and Michael Kokulak of Linden, NJ; her mother, Marie Kokulak of Seattle, WA and three grandchildren, Shaden, Kira and Brooklynn Peterson all of Ocean Springs. Visitation is Tuesday, June 13, 2006, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednsday June 14, 2006 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with burial to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
