SFC Howard E. Ladnier, US Army Retired, age 76, of Vancleave, MS, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
Mr. Ladnier was a native of Pascagoula, MS and a resident of Vancleave for over 20 years. He retired from the US Army, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Air Crewman Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Cross of Gallentry with Palm 3 Overseas Bars Air Medal and three Good Conduct Medals.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Sherry Elaine Ladnier and brother, Robert James Ladnier.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Annis "Ann" Ladnier, two daughters, Annette (Roger) Moore and Marlene (Grant) Powers, two sons, Kenny James Ladnier and Howard Eugene (Cheryl) Ladnier, sister, Ellen Ann (Joe Wayne) Franklin and brother, Anthony Lorne Ladnier, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 20, from 11am until 1pm, with a 1pm chapel service, all at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Vancleave Cemetery on Jim Ramsey Rd.
