Howard David Levine

Howard David Levine, 92, of Gulfport, MS, died July 2, 2020 in Gulfport, MS at Garden Park Memorial Hospital. He was born January 3, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the University of Missouri. Howard was a jack of all trades. He was the consummate salesman. He enjoyed careers in Home remodeling, Siding, Hotel security and Real Estate. Also, he and wife Anne owned and managed the lounge at the Admiral Benbow Inn in Biloxi, MS. He served in the United States Navy, Seaman 2nd class. Howard was an avid sportsman. He was a great bowler, fisherman and especially golfer. In fact, he played golf at least once a week up until the last 6 months of his life. Howard especially enjoyed his annual golf trip to Mesquite, NV. There were hundreds of golfers that attended each year and he took pride in the fact that he was the oldest golfer in attendance. Although he was the oldest, he was one of the best golfers winning many awards and beating many of the younger golfers in attendance. Howard was so loved by this group that they named a special award in his honor – the Howard Levine Spirit Award. Another golf group that Howard loved playing with was called the Hackers. The Hackers were a group of golfers from Mississippi, Florida, Georgia and Alabama that he played with for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hannah and Joseph Levine; his son, Bill Williams (of blessed memory); and his brother, Lee. Howard is survived by his wife, Anne; his children, Bonnie Levine, Lori Ziliotto, Scott Levine, Sylvia Holland, Douglas Arguelles, Tom Williams; his grandchildren, Amy, Rachel, Jake, Jessica, David, Grace, Lindsey, Zac, Tommy, Roy and Mark; and his beloved pets, Boogie and Duece. The family had a private memorial. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street in Gulfport, is honored to serve this family.
