Howard Ted Noe

Mr. Howard T. Noe, born October 2,1925, passed away October 6, 2006 at the age of 81. Howard was born in Houston, MO., the son of the late Grover and Fay Noe. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after also serving time in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Merchant Marines. He was a veteran of WW II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. After retiring from the military, he worked with RCA in Thule, Greenland, and retired from Civil Service at Keesler AFB with 43 years of federal service. He also performed Yeoman services for the USS William Sieverling Veteran's Assocation. He kept the ship log for the association and attended all of the reunions except the last. Howard belonged to Woolmarket Volunteer Fire Department and served as Past President of the Magnolia Swingers square dance club. Howard was a member of Coalville United Methodist Church in Woolmarket and a past member of Heritage United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys M. Noe, and their son , Michael T. Noe. Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Noe; daughters, Helen N. Lisanby of Perry, GA, Shirley B. Noe of Abilene, TX, Kathleane Long and her husband, Keith, of Warner Robins, GA, and Marion C. Noe of Biloxi; Grandchildren, Mike Noe, Jr., Marie O. Noe, Karen L. Long, Kami S. Gegen and her husband, Chris, Jamie M. Jones and her husband, David, and Julie M. Lisanby, and six great-grandchildren, Dean, Jean-Marie, James, Jeremy, Kali and Caitlyn. As a gentleman, and a man who had a zest for life, Mr. Noe will be sadly missed by his family and many others including Mary's children, Carolyn Lafontaine and her husband, Bobby, Claire Vereker and her husband, Mike, and Doug Armstrong and his wife, Phyllis, their children and grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to Memorial Hospice at Gulfport Memorial Hospital P.O. Box 1810, Gulfport, MS 39501 or to Coalville United Methodist Church, 12298 Shorecrest Road, Biloxi, MS 39532. Visitation is Sunday, October 8, 2006, from 5 until 8 p. m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Coalville United Methodist Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will be Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 9 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
