Hubert White

Mr. Hubert Steverson "Steve" White, age 88, of Vancleave, MS., passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2006, in Vancleave. Mr. White was a native of Toccopola, MS., and a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1952. He was retired from the Merchants Company in Pascagoula. He was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Vancleave and was bestowed the special honor in 2003 of Deacon Emeritus for his faithful service for 44 years. Mr. White is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mildred Martin White of Vancleave, two daughters, Linda Dambrino and husband, Michael, and Barbara Baker and husband, Leroy, all of Gulfport, MS., three sisters, Myrtle Lauderdale of Sardis, MS., Johnnie Davis of Clarksdale, MS., and Vallie Terry of Kalamazoo, Michigan, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 19, 2006, from 6-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, January 20, 2006, there will be an 11 AM church service, at First Baptist Church of Vancleave, where friends may call from 10 AM - 11 AM. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Vancleave Building Fund, 12513 Highway 57, or P.O.
