Ila Jacobs

Mrs. Ila Jacobs, age 81, of the St. Martin Community, in Ocean Springs, MS., died Tuesday, July 26, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Jacobs was a native of Kentucky and a resident of the community for 36 years. She worked as a PBX operator at the old Howard Memorial Hospital in Biloxi for many years. Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. Jacobs, her parents, Thomas H. and Margaret Dearing Dorsey, and three brothers, Robert, Clifford and Thomas Dorsey, Jr. She is survived by one son, Perry "Pete" Jacobs and wife, Diane, of Ocean Springs, MS., two sisters, Margaret Inez Landers of Kentucky, and Juanita Faye Craft of Illinois, and one brother, Marvin D. Dorsey of Kentucky, and two grandchildren, James Jacobs and wife, Paula, and Charles Jacobs. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 28, 2005, from 5-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, July 29, 2005, there will be a 10 AM chapel service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Southern Memorial Park
