Inez Borries Cavalier-Conovich, 95, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2008 in Biloxi. A native of Biloxi, she spent her entire life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and attended Sacred Heart School in Biloxi and Ladies Auxiliary VFW.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gus Cavalier, Sr. and Anthony Conovich; father, Charles A. Borries; mother, Laura Mae Lamey; son, Gus Cavalier, Jr.; son-in-law, Thomas O'Grady; sisters, Eula Borries, Eva Smith and Vivian Franko; brothers, Roy Borries, Sr., Perry Borries and Earl Borries.
She is survived by her son, Elwood and her daughter, Barbara both of Biloxi; another son, Wendell (Julia) Cavalier and grandchildren, Wendell, Jr. (Roxanna) and great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Kyle all of Gulfport; Karyn (Kevin) Dew of Hattiesburg; and Drew, Paige and Brandon of Pensacola; another daughter, Bernadette O'Grady (Thomas) of Biloxi; and grandchildren, Baron (Stacey) and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Shea, Ashlyn and Jarrett all of Ocean Springs; Kevin (Wendy) of Gulfport and grandchild, Meagan of Gulfport and Sean (Katie) of Ocean Springs. She also is survived by a daughter-in-law, Frances (Gus) of Biloxi and grandchildren, Joel (Laurie) of Biloxi, Daniel of Jacksonville and great-grandchildren, Grant and Shelby.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to: St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Our Lady of Fatima, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 11:00 am at Our Lady Fatima Catholic Church where friends may visit two hours before service time. Burial will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
