Mrs. Inez M. Weldon, a good and faithful servant of the Lord was called home to be with Him after 98 years of service on this earth. Inez was born Eva Inez Murray on September 3, 1910 in Heron Bay, Alabama to John and Bertha Murray. She married Ray "Skinny" Weldon on June 12, 1934.
Inez was retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs and was a lifelong member of Cedar Lake Christian Assembly in Biloxi where she touched many lives. Inez lived her faith by always helping others and will always be remembered by the beautiful smile that was always on her face.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and only child, Bobby Ray Weldon; her brother, Robert W. Murray, and sisters, Agnes Lebatard and Clementine Broussard Richard. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Audrey Manual Murray, daughter-in-law, Gerrie Simon Weldon; and grandchildren, Scott (Sue Lynn) and Daniel Weldon, great-grandchildren, Benjamin, David and Anna Elizabeth Weldon, all of Biloxi.
Inez was embraced and cared for by Mike Sullivan and his staff in her final years. Their love and comfort brought peace to her life. She left this earth with her loving daughter-in-law at her side.
A Christian service will be held 11 a. m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. where friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cedar Lake Christian Assembly, 11555 Cedar Lake Road, Biloxi, MS 39532.
