Ingrid S. Samson

Ingrid S. Samson, or Tante Inga, age 86, of Biloxi passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at her home.

Ingrid was born on March 16, 1936 to Erna and Walter Schmalz. She worked as a civil servant for 42 years at the Biloxi Veterans Administration where she had various titles and recognitions. She enjoyed cooking, dining out, and shopping.

Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marianne Bishop.

Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Samson; sons, Barney H. Bailey (Susan) and Kevin R. Bailey (Teresa); daughters, Susan L. Bailey and Marian V. Sherry; grandchildren, Christina Woodlief (Heath), Chad Bailey (Kelly), Kristen Alexis Kellar (Krosby), Eric Sherry, and Matthew Bailey; great-grandchildren, Christian Krosby Kellar, Isabelle Lis Kellar, Killian Henderson Bailey, Kip Richard Bailey, Harrison Ray Woodlief, and Lawson Radford Woodlief; nieces,  Michaela Thompson and Beverly Freeman; and nephew, Mark Bishop.

A memorial service will be held at 1:15 P.M. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15^th Street, Gulfport. Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15^th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Samson family.
