Ingrid Woehrl Andrews, age 79, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Keesler Medical Center. A Biloxi resident since August 1969. Mrs. Andrews was born November 23, 1928 in Weiden, Germany and moved to Munich as a child. There she met and married MSgt. Arlington "Chuck" Andrews in 1950 and began her career as a loving and devoted mother and well traveled military wife. From war torn Germany to Illinois and Texas, from Paris to the Civil Rights Movement in Montgomery, AL, to being initiated into coastal life by Hurricane Camille, Mrs. Andrews greeted every moment of her life with grace, wit and humor. A proud mom of three sons, a beloved grandma of six children, she happily spent her later years enjoying her family, her many friends, her numerous artistic hobbies and her work as a Red Cross volunteer. Her strength, compassion and laughter will forever be remembered and admired. Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her husband, Arlington "Chuck" Andrews; parents, Hans and Pauline Woehrl and a brother Horst Woehrl. She lives on in the hearts of those she left behind; sons, Mike Andrews of North Wales, PA, David Andrews and wife Marion of Ocean Springs, Steve Andrews and wife Shonna of Ocean Springs; grandchildren, Josh, Tim, Spencer, Greg, Adian and Ava; a brother, Bernhard Woehrl of Germany; a cousin, Helga Horner of Germany and a wealth of extended family and cherished friends. Visitation is Tuesday, August 12, 2008, 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes, Biloxi. Interment in Biloxi National Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Mobile Infirmary, Green Briar Nursing Home and Keesler Medical Center for their care and support.
