Irene Helena Sandridge Kretzer

Irene Helena Sandridge Kretzer, 82, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL.

Irene was born March 9, 1939 in Liverpool, England and was a longtime resident of Biloxi. She married Carroll Sandridge in 1956 with whom she had both her children, Gary and Sheri. Carroll passed in 1985 and Irene remarried to Col Ralph Kretzer in 1986 until he passed in 2002. Irene enjoyed gardening, caring for her Yorkie and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, SMSgt Carroll Sandridge; her second husband, Colonel Ralph Kretzer; her parents, Albert and Edith Crawford; and her sisters, Valerie Donahue and Margie Bernhardt.

Irene is survived by her children Gary Sandridge and Sheri Nelms; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Moore, Joshua Moore, Mandi Nelms, Wayne Sandridge and Jenni Sandridge; her great-grandchildren, Masen Moore, Elise Moore, Vivian Moore, Liam Moore, Max Moore, Kingston Muller, Finley Sandridge, Emma Moore and baby Abigayle Moore due to arrive in May; and her Yorkie, Cricket.

Funeral Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road in Biloxi on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 12:30 pm. Friends may visit from 11:30 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery next to her first husband, Carroll Sandridge.
