Irene Mary Gonsoulin Strawn

Mrs. Irene Gonsoulin Strawn, 80, of Biloxi, MS, died Sunday, November 8, 2009, in Biloxi. Mrs. Strawn was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. She was a life member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and retired from the Broadwater Hotel Restaurant as a hostess after 35 years of employment. She was a lifelong supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Mrs. Strawn was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lelia Comeaux Gonsoulin. She is survived by her daughters, Trenna (Robert) Hensley, Tricia (Donald) Collins, and Donna (Pat) O'Rourke; sons, Everett (Rhonda) Strawn and John Strawn; four sisters, Shirley Wills, Lorraine Guffey, Olga Lopresti, and Betty Rhodes; three brothers, Bobby Gonsoulin, Ronnie Gonsoulin and Larry Gonsoulin; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Hensley, Christopher Hensley, Crystal Leleaux, Charlye Dunaway, Kimberly Pevey, Christy LeBatard, John Strawn, Jr., and Justin O'Rourke; and seven great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Park. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, is in charge of arrangements.
