Irene Murrell

Irene Murrell, 83, of Long Beach, MS passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 in Ocean Springs.

Mrs. Murrell was born in Cincinnati, OH to Frank and Helen Annis Lockwood. She was an LPN in medical surgery at Taos General Hospital in Taos, NM. Mrs. Murrell enjoyed fishing and sightseeing with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto James Murrell; her son, Michael Murrell; and her parents, Frank and Helen Lockwood.

Mrs. Murrell’s survivors include her son, Donald Murrell; her grandchildren, Nicole Boggess, Jamie Murrell, Scott Murrell and Amber Banks; and her great-grandchildren, Peyton Boggess, Ryland Boggess, Prince Sawyer, Cooper Boggess, Medli Sawyer, David Banks and Abigail Banks.

Funeral Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:00 am. Friends may visit from 9:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
