Irene Nelson Powers

Mrs. Irene Nelson Powers, age 91, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Powers was a resident of the community for seventy years. She was very family oriented, loved her children and grandchildren and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty years, Neely Powers, parents, John and Celeste Nelson, sister, Gussie Galle and brother, Clyde Nelson. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Oliver) Latil and a son, Henry (Jackie) Endt, all of Ocean Springs, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
