Irma Grace Williams

Irma Grace Williams, age 97, of Biloxi passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at home in Biloxi. Irma was born on July 25, 1921 in Cobb, Wisconsin. She obtained a degree in Lower Grade Education at the State Teachers College at Platteville, Wisconsin on June 8, 1942. She worked as a substitute teacher while raising her son. She was also the bookkeeper for her family’s Wisconsin dairy farm for over 50 years. Irma was a member of the Gaynell Garden Club of Biloxi. Her hobbies included playing badminton, fishing with her husband, and gardening. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, John Williams and Lillian Arthur Williams and her loving husband of 67 years, Curtis J. “Ted” Williams. She is survived by her son, Richard Williams (Faye), her grandchildren, Troy (Melissa) Williams, and Courtney (Luke) Matthews, and her great-grandchildren, Grayson and Brayden Williams, and William and Lillian Matthews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dementia Society of America. The family wishes to thank Jada Pierce and Cammy Adams with Southern Care Hospice, Shanita Adkins and Lowanda O’Neal with Praetorian, and Wilaheminia Johnson and Dianne Gaddis with Senior Saints, for the loving care and attention they provided to Grandma. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road in Biloxi, was honored to help serve this family.
