Irmgard Smith

Mrs. Irmgard Smith, 78, of Woolmarket, died Monday, May 21, 2007, in Woolmarket. Mrs. Smith was born in Ringsee, Germany and had been a resident of Woolmarket for the past 27 years. She was an active member of St. Marys Catholic Church and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her friends and family. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Smith; her parents, Rudolf Mauer and Anna Wagner, and a brother, Helmut Mauer. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Charlie Smith, of Woolmarket; two daughters, Jackie Jones and her husband, Jeff, of Fosters, Alabama, and Lynette McMoran and her husband, Bruce, of Sea Girt, New Jersey; two sisters, Hedwig Koenig of Germany and Hildegard Roach of Texas; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 24, 2007, at 10 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Coalville Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
