Ivon A. Arguelles, Sr.

Mr. Ivon A. Arguelles, Sr., 80, of Biloxi, MS, died Sunday, June 26, 2005, in Biloxi. Mr. Arguelles was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict and a member of V.F.W. Post #2434 Mr. Arguelles was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #1244 of Biloxi. He was employed in civil service in the P.E.M.. Lab for over 30 years at Keesler Air Force Base. He was also the owner/operator of a citizen band radio service. Mr. Arguelles was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Ella McMath Arguelles; daughter, Kathryn Arguelles; son, David Wayne Arguelles; his parents, George and Winnie O'Brien Arguelles; sister Patricia Ann Ford; brothers, Joe and Jack Arguelles and a grandson, Daniel Arguelles. Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Arguelles, of Biloxi; sons, Rev. Ivon A."Tony" Arguelles, Jr. of Biloxi; Michael Arguelles of D'Iberville and Paul Arguelles of Ocean Springs; a brother, Morris C. Arguelles of Biloxi; grandchildren, Jorrie Arguelles, Shawn Ault Semonelle, Danah . Arguelles, Christopher Arguelles, Autumn Arguelles, Holli Arguelles, Madison Nobles, Joshua Arguelles, Azlyn Arguelles and Aaron Arguelles; great granddaughter, Gabrielle Semonelle and a special friend, Patsy Premeaux of Biloxi. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
