Ivon Bennett

Mrs. Ivon Odessa Basque Bennett, age 75, of Biloxi, MS., died Sunday, January 8, 2006, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Bennett was a lifelong resident of the community and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Bennett, her parents, Joseph and Alphonsene Basque, sisters, Clotill Seymour and Lucille Boone, and brother, Kip Basque. She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne (Jack) Bodenheimer of Biloxi, MS., two sons, Alva (Rhonda) Bennett of Ocean Springs, and Craton Bennett of Biloxi, one sister, Floy Lee Amos of Ocean Springs, three brothers, Alva Basque, of Biloxi, Benard Basque and Luther Basque, both of Ocean Springs, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. On Wednesday, January 11, 2006, there will be a gathering from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Mrs. Bennetts' residence, 14221 Cook Rd., Biloxi, MS. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS., 39507.
