J. B. Dixon

Mr. J. B. Dixon,72, of Biloxi, MS, died Sunday, January 9, 2011, in Biloxi. He passed away peacefully at home after a very long illness. Mr. Dixon was born September 16, 1938 in Pitt County, NC and had been a resident of Biloxi for the past 36 years. He was a retired U. S. Air Force MSgt. and also retired from Charter Oil and Gulf South Petroleum. Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Eunice Dixon; sister, Bertha and brother, Harold Dixon, Jr. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Pat Howe Dixon; daughters, Judy Murphy and her husband, Murf, Joyce Dixon and her fiance', Paul Gauthe', Brenda Seymour and her husband, Dr. Tim Seymour, and Beverly Brand and her husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Mike Dixon, Matt Comstock, Kaeley Gemmill, Courtney Brand, Tim Seymour, II and Dino too; and his sisters, Alice Peterson and Nellie Phipps. J.B.'s greatest pastime was tinkering on his 1958 Ford pick-up. He will be sadly missed by many family members and friends. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
