Jack E. Miller, 90, of Vancleave, MS entered his eternal home on Friday, April 4, 2025 after a short battle with cancer.
He is survived by his faithful wife of 66 years, Norma Miller. Jack was born September 20, 1934 in Ocean Springs, MS to Will and Olive Miller.
Jack was a devoted servant of Christ, whose life was a reflection of unwavering faith, boundless love, and a commitment to serving others. He was an active long time member of the RLDS church in Ocean Springs and Vancleave, MS where he spent 60+ years in the priesthood. One of his greatest joys was witnessing others come to know Christ. He had a unique ability to encourage and uplift those in need, offering a listening ear, wise counsel, and the hope found only in Christ.
Jack graduated from Ocean Springs High School. He served 4 years in the Navy and an additional 2 in the Reserve. Jack worked at Keesler Air Force Base as Superintendent of Civil Engineers. He also faithfully served as a High Priest at RLDS Church of Vancleave. In his free time, Jack loved spending time with family, watching football and telling bad dad jokes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Will and Olive Miller; and siblings, Henry Miller, Lois Davis, and Gary Miller.
Survivors include his spouse, Norma Miller; children, Johnny Miller and Dean (Dana) Miller; grandchildren, Jeffrey Miller, Peyton Miller, Jamie (Chase) Naquin, Jacob Miller, Amy Lynn Miller, and Madison Miller; great grandchild, Gabreille Naquin; and sibling, Glenda Willard.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at 12 pm on Friday, April 11, 2025 at the Vancleave RLDS Church. Friends may visit one hour prior.
Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Jack E. Miller.
We take comfort in the words of 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Though Jack is no longer with us, the example of his life will continue to inspire and guide us as we seek to live lives that honor God.
And as Jack often says, “May the good Lord take a liking to ya.”
