Jack Lavelle Roberts

Jack Lavelle Roberts, 85, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Ocean Springs. Mr. Roberts was a loving man, dedicated to his family and always put his wife and children first. He patiently took the time to explain things to his children. Mr. Roberts was a native of Ohio and attended Ohio State University. He was a U.S. Navy pilot, attended the U.S. Naval War College, and taught navigation at the United States Naval Academy. Mr. Roberts retired on the MS Gulf Coast in 1977. He will forever be an officer and a gentleman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Saline Roberts and his parents, Lester and Bernice Johnson Roberts. Mr. Roberts’ survivors include his children, Jeff Roberts of Chula Vista, CA, Tom Roberts of Ocean Springs, MS, Mark Roberts of Dallas, TX and Jackie and Tazzy Roberts of Long Beach, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10:00 am. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
