Jackie Eugene Rhodes

Jackie E. Rhodes "Dusty", age 71, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

Jackie was a longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He received his Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He enjoyed helping other people, listening to Southern Gospel music on Sirius XM, and spending time with his favorite bird, Hobie. He also had a distinguished career (20 years) in the United States Air Force where he received several commendations and medals to include, Meritorious Service Medal, Humanitarian, National Defense Service Medal. Jackie had a long, distinguished career with the Biloxi Police Department, which included DARE, GREAT, and patrol, where he rose to Sergeant before retiring. He was also a longtime employee of Swetman Security Services. He was a dedicated long-term member of D’Iberville Christian Assembly where he served in many different capacities.

Jackie is preceded in death by his parents, Carl T. Rhodes, Sr. and Stella Mae English Rhodes; and siblings, Carl T. Rhodes, Jr. and Helen Rhodes.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda Rhodes; two children, Jonathan (Jacquelynn) and Jeanette; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at D'Iberville Christian Assembly on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 11:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
