Jackson Douglas Boone of Gulfport, Mississippi died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, in Bozeman, Montana. Jackson was born November 16, 1986. He was the son of Raymond and Lisa Boone of Gulfport, Mississippi. Jackson graduated from Saint Stanislaus College in 2005 and attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at both the Perkinston and Jefferson Davis campuses.
He then enrolled in Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Jackson was also a Mason and a member of Powers Lodge in Perkinston, MS.
He is survived by his parents Raymond and Lisa Boone, his sisters, Jessica Boone and Jordan Boone, his brother, Jacob Boone, his grandmothers, Carrie Garner and RaeBelle Broadus, and his Aunt Debra Sullivan and her friend William Ward, all of Gulfport. He is also survived by his Uncle and Aunt Merrill and Kim Boone and his cousin Douglas Boone of Atlanta.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Garner.
He will be loved and remembered by numerous close friends.
In a cookie cutter world, Jackson was a truly unique soul. He was invariably the smartest man in the room, and loved conversation and debate. He loved to learn, and he pursued his many interests with passion. He was a writer, essayist and poet, and as his business cards said, "Paladin at large". His gift with words inspired and uplifted, and he lived by the personal mantra: "Love without fear, live without regret, learn from everything".
The world is a much dimmer place with his loss.

A private family burial will take place Sunday, June 26, at Gulfhaven Mennonite Church in Gulfport. A public memorial will be held Monday, June 27 at 11:00 am at Gulfhaven Mennonite Church.
