Mr. James Alton "Buster" Pylate, Jr., age 71, of Ocean Springs, MS., went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 8, 2009, as he requested.
Born in Biloxi, MS., on January 13, 1938, the Gulf Coast was his home, having served in retail management throughout his career. He was a member of Cedar Lake Christian Assembly in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Alton and Juanita Pylate, a daughter, Penny Turner and a sister, Gloria Garret.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, coach and cheerleader, Joan Pylate, and their combined families of eight children, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kenneth (Becky) Pylate, daughter Jamie Rocko, Grandchildren, Kenneth (Laura) Pylate, Chad (Peggy) Pylate, Jessica Pylate and Keith Turner, Great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Georgia and Alex, sister, Shirley (Neil) Covacevich, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and "Brother-in-law", and Joan's children, Jay (Carol) Rossi, Joyce (Ray) Bourdin, Ted Rossi, Terri Booth, and Dan Rossi, Grandchildren, Tiffany (Doug) Smith, Rick (Teresa) Prier, Janae (Trevor) Reynolds, Jessica (Dave) Sachs, Nicole Suchomel and Lance Suchomel, Great-grandchildren, Mason, Jacob, Dominick, Joe, Ethan, Allysa, Emma, Rebecka, Madison, Keenan and Dominick.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 12, 2009, from 10 AM - 11 AM, with an 11 AM Celebration Ceremony all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
