Mr. James Brudoc Adcock, 82, of Gulfport, MS died Saturday, March 12, 2005, in Gulfport.
Mr. Adcock was born in Neshoba County, MS and had been a resident of Gulfport for 61 years. He was a member of Gulf Gardens Baptist Church. Mr. Adcock served in the U. S. Army during WW II. He was a former Chief of the Gulfport Auxiliary Police Department and a former auxiliary deputy with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Adcock retired 15 years ago from civil service at the Navy Seabee Base in Gulfport and since retirement has been employed with Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Adcock; his mother, Zula Gamblin Adcock; twin brother, Samuel Rudolph Adcock; his sister, Lois I. Hill and a daughter, Linda Susan Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Steele Adcock; four daughters, Pamela J. Raybourn, Donna J. Russell, Carol Ann Adcock and Lori A. Guardia all of Gulfport; five grandsons, Kevin B. Smith, Randy R. Smith, Caleb Guardia, Faron O'Neil and Jacob Daquioag and two great grandchildren, Carlyle Steele Smith and Rhet Davidson Smith,
Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2005, from 1:30 till 2:30 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. A procession will leave the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. going to Evergreen Cemetery for graveside services.
