James Baughn

James H. “Jimmy” Baughn, 84, left for his heavenly home Sunday, August 27, 2006. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Coalville Methodist Church in Woolmarket on Lorraine Road from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM along with Internment in Coalville Cemetery. Jimmy was born in Greenwood, Mississippi April 29, 1922. He served in WWII as a US Navy pilot. He was recalled to active duty during the Korean Conflict and retired from the Navy Reserves as a Commander in April 1982. Jimmy and his wife Alga, settled in the Woolmarket community in 1950 to begin their family. He was an Air Traffic Control instructor at Keesler Air Force Base for 23 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Jacob Baughn; his brother Jack, Jr., sisters Marjorie and Juanita. Jimmy is survived by his wife Alga, daughters Particia Baughn Taylor and husband Wayne and Susan Baughn Page; Grandchildren, Jeremy Herring, Jason Page and wife Brandy, Clint Page, Hollee Herring Gable and husband Caleb; and one great granddaughter Raylynn Amelia Page.
