Mr. James Larry Cameron, age 73, of Biloxi passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, February 19, 2015.
Larry was born in Wiggins, MS and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He graduated from Stone High School, received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi, proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and worked for many years for IBM. Over the years he enjoyed parachuting, flying Cessna 150s, sailing, and Sunday trips to Ship Island. He was a loving and devoted son, father, and “Pop” and a generous, outgoing, and warmhearted friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Nettie Fairley Cameron.
Survivors include his daughters, Lisa Cameron Fagan (Randolph Francis, Jr.); Wendy Cameron Lizana (Michael); two grandchildren, Olivia Claire Fagan and Randolph “Trey” Francis Fagan, III.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Biloxi Elks Lodge from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wiggins on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. His family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care and support he received from the 81st Medical Group at Keesler Air Force Base. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
