James Reyburn Douglas

Dr. James Reyburn Douglas, Sr. was born Nov. 24, 1922 in St. Louis, MO., the only child of Samuel and Anna Douglas. He died on Dec. 9, 2015, in the presence of his loving family. Jim served as Lt. Col in the Air Force Reserves and was Chief of Dental Services at the VA Hospitals in Gulfport and Biloxi. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Frances Prims. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving companion, Margaret Signorella; his children, Dr. James Douglas, Jr. (Dr. Melody Ritter), Linda Joyner (Stan), Cheryl Briggs (Roger), and Robert Douglas (Sally). He also leaves 8 devoted grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 13, 2015, from 12 noon until 2 pm, with a 2pm chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will be on Tuesday, December 15, at 10 am in Biloxi National Cemetery.
