James "Jim" E. Bramlett, age 81, of Gulfport died Sunday, March 4, 2007 in Gulfport.
He was a native of Helena, Arkansas and was a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast.
H e served in the Navy and Marines during World War II and served in the Army Air Corp as an air traffic controller for the Berlin Air Lift in 1948
and 1949. During this time he met and married his wife of 56 years, Frances Ryan. They lived and traveled all over the world until their return to the Gulf Coast in 1967 where he retired in 1970.
Mr. Bramlett was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra "Hoagan" Bramlett.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Ryan Bramlett of Gulfport; two sons, James Wesley Bramlett of St. Louis, MO and Tom Bramlett of Los Angeles, CA.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport where friends may visit from 1:30 p.m. until the service. Interment will be Monday March 12, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi.
