James Edmond Jennings, 77, of Vancleave passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 in Collins, MS.
He grew up in Vancleave and was a 1948 graduate of Vancleave High School. He later resided in Ocean Springs. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Betty James Carter Jennings; his mother, Myrtle Yocum Jennings; his father, Howard Edmond Jennings and his brother, Howard Lloyd Jennings.
Survivors include four sons, Howard Jennings of Ocean Springs, Wes Jennings of Zachary, LA, Rob Jennings of Ocean Springs and John Jennings of Vancleave; a sister, Evelyn Flurry of Vancleave; grandchildren, Kim Dennis of Vancleave, Jennifer Brown of North Carolina, Jake Jennings of Zachary, LA, Katy Jennings of North Carolina, Diana Russel, Kristen Jennings and Olivia Jennings all of Vancleave and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with a 2:00 p.m. service on Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Community of Christ Church in Vancleave. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
