James G. Slade

James G. Slade age 61, of Gulfport, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 in Biloxi. He was born in Ennis, Texas and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1996. He was manager of Walgreen's for 38 years. He attended Woolmarket Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Slade; and a brother, Donald Slade. Mr. Slade is survived by his wife, Elaine Slade, a daughter, Julie Slade, son Jonathan Slade, all of Gulfport; a son, Jeremy Slade and wife, Christina of Gainsville, FL; a sister, Valerie Stanton, and brother, Larry Slade, both of Desoto, TX; and his mother, Floydene Lenamond of Desoto, TX. Visitation will be held Friday, October 10, 2008 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. There will be a service following at 3:00 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial South in Jackson where friends may visit at 2:00 until the service. Interment follows at Lakewood Cemetery in Jackson.
