James H. "Jim" Comer, 70, of D'Iberville, MS died on Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Mr. Comer served his country in the US Air Force. Upon departure, he worked for the Air Force Exchange for nearly 20 years. He was also the executive chef for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum and Ingalls Shipyard. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, camping and fishing. Mr. Comer loved his family and was a very loving husband and father.
Mr. Comer is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey James and Ivy Duniphin Comer; brother, Johnny Comer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Deanna "Dee" Comer of D'Iberville; son, Jim (Cheryl) Comer, daughter, Lisa (Donnie) Premeaux both of Perkinston; sisters, Lorene Wilcox, Ethel (Paul) Woodring, Pat (Charles) Cox, brother, Weldon (Alma) Comer all of California; one grandchild, Chris (Kalie) Gollott; great-grandchildren, Payton Christopher and Caden James Gollott all of Perkinston.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 12:00 pm at the Howard Avenue Chapel, Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi with Father Greg Barras officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
