James "Homie" Edward Ball

James “Homie” Edward Ball, 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

 James was born on November 5, 1960 in Biloxi, Mississippi. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after 26 years. James also served in the US Navy from 1982- 1987. James loved to cook, listen to live music and most importantly spend time with his grandson Lawrence. 

 James is preceded in death by his father Jimmie Ball.

Survivors include his life partner Sarah Chism; daughter, Sydney Ball; grandson, Lawrence Ball; his mother, Johanna Ball; and siblings, Paul Ball, and Richard Ball (Rebecca). 

Although James did not wish to have a formal service, the family will be hosting a celebration of life. Date and time to be determined once final arrangements are made.
