James "Jim" M. Sutherlin

Mr. James "Jim" M. Sutherlin, age 55, of Gautier, MS., died Sunday, October 16, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Sutherlin was a resident of the community for 38 years. He was a member of the Gulf Coast Bicycle Club , the United States Tennis Association, and Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Ocean Springs. Mr. Sutherlin was preceded in death by his father, Fordie Sutherlin. He is survived by two daughters, Shelly (Stephen) Sutherlin of New Orleans, LA., and Amy (Aaron) Tapper of Ocean Springs, his mother, Marcelle Sutherlin of Gulfport, MS., two sisters, Ann Vitosky of Gulfport, MS., and Sue Gulley of Garden Grove, CA., three brothers, John Sutherlin of Gulfport, MS., Ford Sutherlin of LaPlace, LA., and Tim Sutherlin of Gulfport, MS., two grandchildren, Shelby and Andrew Tapper, and former wives, Connie Scheffler and Laurie Bailey. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 22, 2005, from 1-2 PM, with a 2 PM Memorial Service, all at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to Aseracare Hospice, #21 Marks Rd., Ocean Springs, MS. 39564. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
