James Gordon Smith, age 60, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014.
He was born in Brookhaven, MS and was a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past 40 years. He was a pipefitting inspector, a musician and an avid fisherman. James loved to make people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Carolyn Smith and brother, Jeffery Wayne Smith.
Survivors include his daughters, Angela (Jon) Engleman of Albuquerque, NM, Adrianne (Heath) Hungerford of Biloxi, MS, and Amanda (Mark) Tiblier of Biloxi, MS; Companion, Doris Parker of Gautier, MS; sisters, Marian Smith of Ocean Springs, MS and Carol Kilpatrick of Atlanta, GA; brother, Loring Smith, Jr. of Pass Christian, MS; father, Loring J. Smith, Sr. of Ocean Springs, MS; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m on Friday, September 19, where friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service.
