James Hervey Palmer,

MSgt. James Hervey Palmer, US Air Force Ret., 83, of Vancleave, MS died Thursday, April 3, 2014 in Mobile. Mr. Palmer was born in Kemper County, MS and was a longtime resident of Vancleave. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and retired after twenty-one years of service. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn C. Palmer; his daughter, Regina Palmer; his parents, William Carrol Palmer and Wilsie Rosamond; his brother, William, Jr.; and two sisters, Theolia and Marguerite. Mr. Palmer is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Eddie) Overman; and three granddaughters, Elizabeth, Emily and Erika Overman. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home.
