Mr. James Phillip Lowery, 36, of Saucier, died Sunday, December 12, 2010, in Gulfport.
Phillip was born in Gulfport and was a lifelong resident of the coast. He was a Baptist. Mr. Lowery was a flooring installer, an avid fisherman, and was known as "Coach James" by his girls' soccer team. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandson and friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Mattie Cooley and his grandmother, Melva Lowery. Survivors include his wife, Maria T. Lowery; daughter, Sarah Lowery; parents, Audrey and James Lowery, and his sister, Amanda Nicole Lowery, all of Saucier; his grand parents, Arthur and Idell Overstreet and William F. "Bill" Lowery; mother-in-law, Maria Nora Rosenbaugh, father-in-law, Ronnie Lee Rosenbaugh, all of Gulfport; sister-in-law, Roselie Rosenbaugh; brother-in-law, Jeremy (Stephanie) Rosenbaugh all of Biloxi; aunts and uncles, Ben (Janice) Lowery of San Diego, CA, Bevely (Malcolm) Cockrell of Wiggins, Pat Lowery of Hattiesburg, Jennie Lowery of Gulfport, Dianna (Eddie) Favre of Kiln, Becky Lowery of Wiggins, James (Virginia) Overstreet, Steven (April) Overstreet, Paul Overstreet all of Gulfport.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, in Gulfport. The funeral service will be Thursday, December 16, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A private graveside service will be at Finley Cemetery.
