James Rudolph “Dolphie” Reece, age 86, of North Biloxi, MS, was born November 17, 1935 and passed away on Christmas morning, December 25, 2021.
Rudolph served three years in the Army National Guard. During that time, he also worked at Balius Floor Covering. Later, he and his brother Thomas, owned Reece Brother’s Floor Covering. In his thirties, he began work at MDOT and became Supervisor of Road Maintenance. He retired from MDOT in 1998. Rudolph loved fishing, hunting and camping with family and friends.
Rudolph is preceded in death by his son, Mark Reece; his daughter, Shari Elizabeth Reece; his parents, Everett “Doot” and Rose Ella “Buck” Hill Reece; and his brother, Thomas Reece.
To cherish his memories are his wife of 66 years, Beverly Borries Reece; his children, Debbie (Cecil) King and Marguerite (Rick) Barlow; and his sister, Barbara Banks. He has seven grandchildren, Brad (Jenn) Barlow, Connie Reece, Jason (Jessica) King, Chris (Anna) Barlow, Kathleen Webb, Kimberly Reece, and David (Jamie) King. Rudolph has twelve great-grandchildren.
His family would like to thank their relatives and friends for their love and support and thank Notre Dame Hospice (Leslie, Rachel, Christine) for their care and compassion.
Due to Covid, a private family ceremony will be held with burial at Coalville Cemetery.
