James Roy Miller

James Roy Miller, Jr., 78, of Bay St. Louis, died Thursday, August 4, 2005 in Bay St. Louis. Mr. Miller was born in Petal, Ms and was a resident of Biloxi for the past forty years. He attended Hinds Junior College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific and retired from the U.S. Naval Home in Gulfport. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Jo ; and his parents, Roy and Vera Miller of Petal. He is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Schifano of Biloxi; and Lynda Stewart and her husband, Glenn of Gulfport; a son, James D. Miller and his wife, Teresa of Bay St. Louis; four sisters, Mary Elizabeth Berry of Jackson, Sarah Louise Richardson and Patricia May Burger, both of Petal; and Vera Jean Miller of West Virginia; six grandchildren and fifteen great- grandchildren. The funeral service will be Monday, August 8, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport, where friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the service.
